Hi - I’m Steven Richards, owner and builder of Cedar Hollow Guitars. I’m currently focused on building smaller body acoustic guitars, from single “O” size to Orchestra Model (OM). I build quality, responsive instruments that have an exceptional and alluring sound.  My guitars are alive and they will give a distinctive expression to your creative voice. Building a fine acoustical instrument is a process, with the outcome dependent upon both skill and intuition. This process has been my personal journey for over 20 years - I want nothing more than to put my guitars in the hands of musicians who appreciate the creative effort and are on their own path to creative expression.

I live with my wife, Lorraine, up a cedar hollow on the Olympic Peninsula. If you’re interested in learning more about my guitars, give a holler. Music is the sound of the universe as well as the voice of being. We are actively engaged in musical education, especially for young people. We support Taylor's Camp at Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival.
